Luigi Avantaggiato is a freelance photographer. After earning a PhD in visual studies, he began working as a documentary photographer, with a strong interest in issues related to socio-anthropological and environmental transformations.
His photography and writings have been published in international newspapers and magazines (Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Technology Review, BBC Science Focus, Spectrum, Il Corriere della Sera, GEO and others). Luigi exhibited his photography in exhibitions and festivals in Italy and abroad. He is author of book essays and papers about photography, cinema and visual arts.
